Southend Libraries join forces with storytelling powerhouse The Crick Crack Club to step out of time and into a moment of wild uncertainty.

Come with us into the unmapped terrain of stories told in absolute darkness, shot through with enchantment, transformation, things lost, things found, grown-up fairytale and weird myth. With stories told by Ben Haggarty & Sarah Liisa Wilkinson and music by Sheema Mukherjee, your ears will be your guide, and anything you see will be in the cinema of your imagination.

Exciting news 🤩👏

Garon Park Youth club has just bought a horse trailer, and we’re converting it into a food truck which will be run entirely by our young people.

This project will give them the chance to:
Learn practical renovation skills as we transform the trailer
Gain real work experience running the tuck shop/food truck at events
Build confidence and develop teamwork and business skills

We’re on the lookout for a few bits to help us once we get started – things like a coffee/hot drinks machine, a mini fridge, or anything else you think could be useful inside a little food truck.

If you happen to be upgrading and have one going spare, or if you own a business that might like to donate something towards this amazing cause, it would make a huge difference. Every single donation will directly support young people in our community.
