Did you know that some of the Wellbeing at Garon Park team are trained Mental Health First Aiders? 😊

Back in February we were joined with other local organisations to partake in MHFAider training provided by Sally from @mhfaengland

After a 2 day course we gained the skills needed to recognize signs of poor mental health, start supportive conversations, and guide people toward appropriate professional help.

With more staff and volunteers ready to take the course later this month we’re proud to be MHFAiders. 💚

A huge thank you to @reeve.reece at SOS Combatives for the incredibly generous donation of martial arts equipment to Wellbeing Garon Park.

This equipment will play a vital role in helping us teach our @garonparkyouthclub members valuable self-protection skills through martial arts, while also building confidence, discipline, and resilience.

We’re extremely grateful for the support and are excited about the opportunities this creates for our young people. We look forward to working with Reece and SOS Combatives in the future to make an even bigger positive impact in our community.

Katie has been an incredible support to our gardening group, and we truly value the dedication and attention to detail she brings every time she joins us. It’s been lovely to see her gradually increase her time with us, and we’re so pleased she’s now able to come along two mornings a week.
