Wellbeing at Garon Park is a local charity which is dedicated to supporting the physical and mental health and wellbeing of local residents while conserving the enhancing the diversity of the 32 acre site which was gifted to the Southend Community. Following recent support from St Edmunds Church and the ROSCA charity we have purchased a minibus as local residents and organisations have talked to us about how difficult it is to get to the site to access activities due to the lack of public transport. As a result of this, we have been able to collect local students and residents from set pick up points to attend organised activities on our site and return them to the agreed drop off point.
We are looking for 3 volunteer drivers to help us with these driving duties. Volunteers will be required for set days and times to match our commitments with local organisations. Shifts would be agreed in advance. Individuals could agree to do set days and times to fit around their own personal commitments.
Our mini bus is a 14 seater so requires a D1 Driving licence. Applicant should have a clean drivers licence.
