Definition
A mandala is a geometric pattern that often appears in a circle or square, with patterns radiating from the center. The word "mandala" comes from the ancient Sanskrit language of Hinduism and Buddhism, and means "circle".
Meaning
Mandalas can represent the cosmos or deities in heavenly worlds, and can symbolize the interconnectedness of life. The circle shape can represent the idea that life has no end, and that everything is part of the universe.
Bauble designs
You can make mandala baubles by using dimensional fabric paint or glue to connect dots on a bauble to create a mandala pattern. You can also buy Christmas baubles with a mandala pattern....but come and make your own as its more fun!
