Welcome to Garon Park Youth
Garon Park Youth is our vibrant community youth club designed to provide a fun and safe environment for young people aged 8-15. Established in August 2022, the club has grown rapidly, now boasting over 450 members and welcoming more than 60 young people each week.
What we offer
Every Wednesday night from 6-8pm, Garon Park Youth offers a wide range of exciting activities that cater to all interests:
We have football on a 3G Pitch, cooking, arts & crafts , games including air hockey, pool, table tennis, and table football, karaoke, a huge outdoor area for free play and a separate surfaces park
We also run special events, including discos, with extras like face painting and photo props.
In addition to all our activities, we have a paid tuck shop offering snacks and treats. However, we also recognise that some of our young people come to us hungry, so each week we provide free food. This initiative was introduced after we identified the need to support families and ensure that no child goes hungry while enjoying their time at the club.
Co-Production and Youth Input
At Garon Park Youth, we believe in creating a space that truly reflects the interests and needs of our members. That’s why we regularly consult with our members and young leaders, asking for their input on what they enjoy most about the club, what they’d like to change, and what activities they’d love to see more of. By involving them in these decisions, we ensure that our youth club is a space created with them, for them. Whether it’s new games, different events, or suggestions for how we can improve, their voices are at the heart of what we do.
Supporting the Community
Garon Park Youth was created to give local young people a safe and positive space to hang out, make friends, and develop new skills. Our dedicated team of DBS-checked volunteers ensures a welcoming and secure environment every week.
We’re proud to have a growing team of young leaders who gain valuable work experience and a sense of responsibility through their roles.
As part of the Jack Petchey Awards scheme, members and young leaders have the chance to be recognised for their hard work and commitment., in and out of the club.
